Популярность нового романа Дэна Брауна набирает обороты

НЬЮ-ЙОРК, 17 сентября. В первые сутки продаж новый роман Дэна Брауна «Утраченный символ» разошелся в США, Великобритании и Канаде тиражом более миллиона экземпляров.

Таким образом, продажи полностью оправдали ожидания, по крайней мере, американского издателя — Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group, подразделения Random House. В Knopf уже заказали дополнительные 600 тыс. экземпляров книги в дополнение к 5 млн уже готовых, пишет The New York Times.

Одновременно книга вышла в бумажном и в электронном виде. Продающие электронную версию книжные интернет-магазины — BN.com, Amazon и Sony — подтвердили, что «Утраченный символ» сразу оказался в лидерах, но не назвали конкретные цифры скачанных экземпляров.

Суммарный тираж наиболее известного романа Брауна «Кода да Винчи» опубликованного в 2003 году, составил 81 млн экземпляров.
