Sorry, but I always thought that England and Great Britain stand not for the same!
from Wikipedia The Kingdom of Great Britain, also known as the United Kingdom of Great Britain, was a state in Western Europe, in existence from 1707 to 1800. It was created by the merger of the Kingdom of Scotland and the Kingdom of England, under the Acts of Union 1707, to create a single kingdom encompassing the whole of the island of Great Britain. Monarhs: Anne (1707–1714), previously Queen of England, Queen of Scotland, and Queen of Ireland since 1702# George I (1714–1727)
# George II (1727–1760)
# George III (1760–1801), continued as King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland until 1820...
In 1707, the Act of Union merged both Kingdoms and created the Kingdom of Great Britain (1707–1801). Queen Anne was the last Queen of England, and the first monarch of the new kingdom.
In 1801 began the story of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. So if to be precise there were only two dynasties for The Kingdom of Great Britain - Stuarts and Hanoverians! Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and Windsors were/are monarhs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. And Tudors, Yorkists, etc. were kings of England. Sorry for being such a dryasdust! 
But it was really fascinating to look through all these stories - thank you for the incitement!

I am sorry, but I cannot accept your answer: Friends, Everybody loves Raymond,the Emmy Award-winning My name is Earl, Scrubs are quite definitely American sitcoms. As for the Office, fine, it can be left, because originally it was created in the UK, though later its American version gained by far more popularity. So the questions remains: I know 5 British sitcoms

Ok, as for Mr.Bean - if you are that absolutely sure this isn't a sitcom - please do edit those brains in Wikipedia cause they think it is one. At least they put "Mr. Bean" in their list of Some popular British sitcoms.
